Hi, friend.
I’m so glad you’re here.
This little corner of the internet is something I’ve dreamed of building for a long time — a cozy, heartfelt space where stories live, love lingers, and we remember why we fell for romance in the first place.
If we haven’t met yet: I’m Avery Montgomery. I write love stories that unravel you — the kind with slow-burning tension, complicated characters, and emotional payoffs that (hopefully) leave your heart a little breathless.
I live on the coast of North Carolina with my husband, where the ocean is as much a character in our daily life as the people we love. There’s something about the sea — moody skies, wind-tangled hair, the pull of tides — that inspires the kind of layered, emotional love stories I try to write.
So why romance?
Because I believe in it. Not just the fairy-tale version, but the messy, honest, soul-deep version — where people fall for each other not in spite of their flaws, but because of them. I write romance because I believe love is the bravest thing we do. It cracks us open, rewrites our plans, and makes us better — if we let it.
My debut novel, Undone, was born from that belief. It’s about control and connection, legacy and longing — and what happens when someone walks into your life and quietly changes everything.
In the posts ahead, I’ll be sharing sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes glimpses into my writing process, playlists, mood boards, and little love letters to the stories I adore — both mine and others.
Thanks for being here at the beginning. I’m honored you’re part of this story.
With love,Avery
